Safety Bulletin: Fire Risk

As we enter the drier summer months, we are asking all səmiq̓ʷəʔelə visitors and tenants to use extreme caution. Smoking in common areas, such as sidewalks, multi-use paths or forested areas is not permitted. This policy is to reduce the risk of fire, especially during prolonged dry spells. Please use designated smoking areas only, dispose of cigarettes responsibly, and report any suspicious behaviour to Security (604) 782-6540.

The City of Coquitlam’s fire danger rating is currently at a moderate level. As the season progresses, we recommend checking the City’s Community Wildfire Updates for the latest rating and other helpful information.
